Who Should Attend:
Any member of a law enforcement agency that may come in contact with an individual on the autism spectrum.

Course Description and Objectives:
This course will introduce attendees to autism and autism spectrum disorder. Students will develop a familiarity with the behaviors associated with autism.
1. Define elements of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
2. Identify myths associated with ASD.
3. Explain resources available to officers when dealing with an individual on the Autism spectrum.
4. Locate local resources available to families of individuals on the Autism spectrum.
