Course Goal:
To understand how to analyze the evidence related to a shooting incident.

Course Objectives:
Topics: Scene Reconstruction, Firearm Parts, Ballistics, Wounds, Bullet Holes, Ricochets, Chemical Field Testing, Impact Angle, Trajectory, Bullet Wipe, Stippling, Shooter Zones, Distance Determination, Serial Number Restoration, Death Scene Observations, and Report Writing.

Lecture, Demonstration, Practical Exercises

Resources Required: Bring photographs of shooting incidents and gunshot injuries for further analysis and report writing.

Reporting Instructions: Attendance of 100% is required at all class sessions. Students are required to participate in all practical exercises. A minimum score of 75% must be achieved on the written final exam.
