Full Description: Who Should Attend:
Those law enforcement officers who have successfully completed the Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation (#3131).

Course Description:
To enable participants to interpret and analyze crash evidence when a motorcycle is involved.

Course Objectives:
The student will be able to:
- Interpret physical evidence present at the scene of a crash; including, but not limited to:
- Motorcycle damage
- Helmet damage
- Rider trajectory
- Roadway marks
- Describe vehicle/rider behavior during a crash.
- Demonstrate an understanding of motorcycle instabilities and handling characteristics.
- Perform a variety of mathematical formulas including:
- Speed calculations
- Throw calculations

Methodologies:
This course employs demonstration, lecture and practical exercises.

Course Requirements:
Attendance is required at all class sessions. Satisfactory completion of practical exercises conducted throughout the course must be accomplished. A minimum score of 75% must be attained on the final exam.
