Full Description: Who Should Attend:
Those law enforcement officers who have successfully completed Advanced Traffic Crash Investigation (#3131).

Course Description:
To provide the participants with the information and skills to gather and interpret the evidence at the scene of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.

Course Objectives:
The student will be able to:
- Document the area of impact based on roadway evidence.
- Calculate the speed of vehicles at impact using the appropriate formula.
- Interpret mechanism(s) of injury to position pedestrian at time of impact.

Methodologies:
This course employs demonstration, lecture and practical exercise.

Course Requirements:
Attendance is required at all class sessions. Satisfactory completion of practical exercises must be accomplished. A minimum score of 75% must be attained on the final exam.
