Full Description: Prerequisites:
The student must have completed the NCJA 40 hour FTO Class, be currently enrolled in an NCJA FTO Class, or received a waiver from the NCJA FTO Program Instructor/Coordinator. Waivers are based upon prior training and teaching experience.

Individuals attending this course are required to submit a current instructor certification.

Who Should Attend:
General Instructors currently certified by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.

The student must be an active North Carolina Law Enforcement Officer or have served a minimum of six years in that capacity.

Course Description and Objectives:
This course will operate as a hybrid course. The first portion will be online and then finishing with an in person requirement. Students will learn how the FTO program is administered and ever evolving. Students will be required to teach FTO material in a class setting during the in-person portion.

Course Requirements:
To satisfactorily complete this course, the student must participate in all class activities and required review of lesson plans. Within seven days of the course start date, one-hundred percent of the required course activity must be completed. The student must be present for the in-person portion of the course and participate in all in-person activities.
