Who Should Attend:
Patrol officers, investigators and other persons responsible for crime scene processing, evidence collection and evidence submission.

Course Objectives:
The student will be able to:
- Secure and protect the crime scene.
- Document a crime scene through sketching and photography.
- Collect, package and transmit various types of physical evidence to the crime laboratory.

Resources Required
Attendance of 100% is required at all class sessions. Students are required to participate in all practical exercises. A minimum score of 75% must be achieved on the written final exam.

Special Concerns:
Bring comfortable clothing for both inside and outside activities. Class will begin at 8:00 a.m. unless otherwise directed by the instructor. Students are requested to bring their department issued digital SLR format camera, tripod and off-camera flash for photography exercises. In addition, students are encouraged to bring a flashlight and alternate light/forensic light source that they currently employ.
